Entry Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Position Summary:

We seek a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise and electrical reliability support for the coating, finishing, and power distribution systems at the mill. The successful candidate will join a diverse team dedicated to safe and efficient manufacturing of release papers. Responsibilities include maintaining electrical systems and equipment, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, providing technical support to craftspeople, and managing capital projects.

Performance Objectives:

  1. Plan, budget, develop, and oversee electrical capital projects, including power, PLCs, drives, and controls.
  2. Provide technical oversight for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  3. Manage power systems engineering, including the Arc-Flash Program.
  4. Assist with troubleshooting operational and maintenance issues.
  5. Ensure compliance with electrical codes such as NFPA70E, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, UL.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience troubleshooting drive systems, PLCs, and power distribution components.
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Series VFD programming.
  • Knowledge of medium and low voltage power systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, and transmission cabling.
  • Experience with electrical reliability practices like infrared, ultrasonic testing, and diagnostic software.
  • Familiarity with fault current, coordination, and arc flash studies.
