Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Projects Team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering electrical and automation solutions across a portfolio of projects, from design and procurement through to commissioning and after-sales support.

You will serve as the subject matter expert for electrical aspects of multiple projects, liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering electrical projects in industrial/manufacturing environments
• Good understanding of electrical schematics, UK electrical standards and instrumentation
• Confident communicator and customer/supplier facing

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert for electrical aspects across multiple projects
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation with suppliers
• Specify and procure control panels, instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Support FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting and site activities
• Collaborate with project managers, sales and subcontractors on quotations and costs

You'll play a key role in delivering electrical and automation solutions across a portfolio of projects, supporting the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through to commissioning and customer support.

Job Description:

• Be the subject matter experience for all electrical aspects of multiple engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, specifications and budgets.
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation, including control philosophies and equipment schedules working closely with the suppliers.
• Specify and procure control panels, instrumentation and electrical equipment while managing supplier performance.
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, troubleshooting and site activities across customer and supplier locations.
• Work closely with project managers, sales teams and subcontractors on quotations/bid/costings.

• HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience delivering electrical engineering projects within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
