Job summary

Mitie Balderstone, Blackburn is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support safe and efficient operation of client facilities. This full-time role covers commercial and industrial environments across the site, offering a chance to contribute to a respected facilities management team and develop professional skills.

You will perform safety checks, maintenance tasks, and on-call duties while ensuring compliance with regulations and documenting records.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2/3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• IT literate with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience within facilities maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical safety checks, PAT testing, and reactive repairs.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and reports using company IT systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes through inspections, monitoring, and participation in the on-call duty rota.
