Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Lecturer for a temporary, ongoing role in Enfield. You will deliver theory and practical teaching, plan schemes of work, and assess learners to support progression into further study or employment. DBS checks may apply.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and strong IT skills for Moodle/Teams/ProMonitor, with a passion for student development and health and safety in workshops.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, physics or a related discipline.
  • An established teaching qualification recognized by relevant bodies.
  • Strong knowledge in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience teaching the subject and preparing learners for formal assessments.
  • Good IT skills and ability to use learning platforms effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Teach theory and practical lab sessions in workshops.
  • Plan schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials.
  • Assess learner work in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high health and safety standards in labs and workshops.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and course development.
