Job summary

IES Utilities is seeking an experienced Electrical Distribution Project Manager to lead LV/HV distribution projects across UK networks (230V–33kV). You will oversee safe, timely, and profitable delivery, coordinating OHL and UG works, with DNO clients and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, budget control, safety, and regulatory compliance, with regional flexibility and long-term career development within the power division.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical distribution projects and construction methodologies.
• Knowledge of DNO standards and regulatory requirements.
• CDM ESQCR awareness and utility industry best practices.
• Experience managing project budgets and financial performance.
• Experience administering variations and NEC contract changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple LV and HV distribution projects from planning through to completion.
• Lead OHL and UG schemes including excavation, ducting, cable installation and pole replacement.
• Develop and maintain project programmes with milestones and client deliverables.
• Coordinate internal resources, site supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to maximise productivity.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation to maintain schedule.
• Support outage planning and coordinate works with DNO operational requirements.
