The Role:
As Electrical Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Leading the design of electrical control systems including detailed schematics, block diagrams and BOMs

Acting as the technical point of contact for clients, supporting requirements gathering and design scoping

Mentoring junior engineers and guiding technical development within the team

Taking responsibility for the quality and delivery of design outputs, ensuring standards and deadlines are met

Supporting project delivery from concept through to commissioning, working closely with production, installation, and technical support teams

Contributing to process improvements and helping shape future project delivery standards

The Person:
This role is ideal for someone currently operating as a Senior or Lead Electrical Design Engineer who is ready for the challenge and reward of stepping into a leadership role.

You will need:

HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design for control systems

Proven ability to deliver high-quality, complex technical designs

Confidence communicating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients

Familiarity with a range of PLCs, HMIs and Drives (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi)

Experience with Eplan schematic software

Project or team leadership experience, even in an informal capacity

A strong understanding of industry standards and compliance
