Job summary

AFECO is a specialist engineering services provider delivering high‑quality electrical design and MEICA projects for water and wastewater infrastructure across the South of England and Midlands. The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will lead electrical design across feasibility to detailed design stages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Essential Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward Chartership.
• Proven experience in electrical design for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of UK water utility standards and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for water industry assets (LV/HV distribution, MCCs, VSDs).
• Coordinate with process/mechanical teams for integrated MEICA designs.
• Produce design documentation: SLDs, cable schedules, load assessments, specifications.
