Job summary

PT Renewables seeks a Design Manager for Electrical Power Networks (LV to 132kV) to lead and grow the design function. You will manage electrical and CAD teams, own P&L, and ensure high-quality design across projects, including NERS accreditation and regulatory compliance.

The role combines technical leadership with commercial responsibility, client-facing activities, and strategic development of the design department within a dynamic, growing company.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing electrical power networks.
• Comfort across the technical range from LV distribution through HV and up to 132kV.
• Understanding of DNO/IDNO standards, NERS accreditation, CDM regulations and wider regulatory framework.
• Leadership experience or readiness to step up into a team management role.
• Commercial awareness; P&L accountability is familiar or a goal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the electrical design team, including recruitment, technical development and workflow prioritisation.
• Own the design department P&L, provide financial reporting to the MD, and track profitability across projects.
• Maintain and evolve NERS accreditation and the Internal Management System.
• Set design quality KPIs including first-time DNO acceptance rates.
• Support the MD with business development, client engagement and repeat business.
• Build out a standalone earthing design capability from the ground up.
• Continue hands-on technical work on designs from LV to 132kV.
