Job summary

Ivybridge Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Ivybridge. The role focuses on delivering robust electrical building services design across complex projects, with project leadership and client interaction.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate services with contractors, and contribute to bids while ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering electrical building services design projects.
• Knowledge of British Standards, UK Regulations and industry codes.
• Experience with RIBA design stages, including detailed design.
• Chartered Engineer status desirable or progress toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical design across building services and high-voltage systems.
• Lead medium to large-scale projects from design to delivery.
• Coordinate electrical engineering services with clients and contractors.
• Support bids, proposals, and resource planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with standards and health and safety.
