Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop bespoke industrial machinery from concept through to manufacture. You will create electrical schematics, control panels and wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with UKCA/CE and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial machinery and automation equipment.
• Strong proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 and control panel design.
• Ability to take concepts through to production with DFMA mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for bespoke machinery.
• Develop control panels, power distribution and wiring harnesses.
• Produce BOMs, schematics and build documentation with accuracy.
• Perform power calculations, component selection and safety assessments.
• Ensure UKCA/CE compliance and relevant standards are met.
• Support prototyping, testing, commissioning and fault finding.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and manufacturing teams.
