Job summary

MasterMover is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the UK. You will design, develop and test electrical systems for our material handling solutions, delivering reliable and cost-effective engineering outcomes.

The role reports to the Lead Electrical Development Engineer and collaborates across Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing and Quality teams. You will create electrical schematics, select components, support prototyping and validation, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial equipment or vehicles.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with motors, sensors, control systems and electrical safety principles.
• Experience with electrical CAD tools such as VeSys or Solid Edge Electrical.
• Experience with product development, testing or validation activities.
• Understanding of machinery/vehicle compliance standards (e.g. EN1175, ISO13849).
• Strong analytical, fault-finding and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering documentation.
• Support design and development of electrical systems for new and existing products.
• Specify and integrate motors, battery systems, controllers, sensors, switches and operator interfaces.
• Support prototype builds and commissioning activities.
• Plan and conduct product testing and validation.
• Investigate faults and support root cause analysis.
• Implement improvements for performance, reliability, quality and cost.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Liaise with suppliers on component selection, testing and technical support.
• Support compliance/certification activities across machine ranges.
