Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading UK specialist in Wales. You will take full ownership of electrical control system designs from concept through to handover.

You will produce design packs using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical, specify components, size cables and protection, and support tendering and project delivery. Collaborative and hands-on, you will ensure compliance and smooth commissioning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing electrical control systems and control panels for automated equipment or machinery.
• Proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong knowledge of component selection, cable sizing, and circuit protection.
• Experience creating full electrical design packs (schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, cable schedules).
• Ability to generate commissioning test documentation and compliance procedures.
• Practical problem-solving skills for workshop and site-level troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities
