Job summary

South East Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver high-impact projects from concept to commissioning, enhancing drinking water safety and reliability.

You will work within a collaborative team, applying technical mastery to develop solutions, produce reports, and ensure compliance with standards. The role offers professional growth, flexibility, and a meaningful purpose in serving communities.

Qualifications

• HNC or degree in Engineering or equivalent training.
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with the IET.
• Extensive experience in water utilities is advantageous.
• Ability to work closely with others.
• Technically competent and knows when to refer to others.
• Strong technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, harmonic filtration, data networks, telemetry, and standby generators.
• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office; Google Workspace helpful.

Responsibilities

• Development of technical solutions and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams (Process, Civil and Mechanical).
• Production of technical reports and independent checks, reviews and approvals of complex electrical designs.
• Analysis of options and selection of appropriate technical solutions.
• Ensure contractors' designs comply with company specs and industry standards (WIMES, IET).
• Development of outline scheme designs.
• Assistance in preparation of scheme programmes, estimates and tender documentation.
