Hoare Lea in Bristol or Cardiff is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high‑quality, sustainable electrical design across diverse built environment projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
• Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
• Experience with LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and standby systems.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, and MS Office.
• Able to deliver project elements independently or lead disciplines.
• Effective communicator coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with site checks, testing and contractor submissions.
• Commitment to meeting programmes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
• Produce calculations, drawings and technical documentation that comply with regulations, design guides and client standards.
• Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and third‑party consultants.
• Review and comment on technical information provided by contractors and sub‑contractors; check site installations against the design intent.
• Attend and report at design team meetings, client meetings and project meetings.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and support handover documentation.
• Manage workload to meet programme deliverables and report progress to line manager.
• Contribute to the professional development of junior colleagues.
