Job summary

Civic, an award-winning building services practice, invites an Intermediate/Design Engineer to join its expanding MEP team in the UK. You will contribute to a variety of projects across residential, education, commercial, leisure and regeneration sectors.

You will work closely with engineers and design teams to deliver coordinated electrical designs and robust models, while developing your capabilities in a collaborative environment and embracing sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Experienced electrical engineer with good understanding of Building Services MEP.
• Proactive, organised and able to produce coordinated designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering discipline design, analysis, calculation and drawing input.
• Undertaking engineering design and analysis while being supervised by others, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Identify problems and opportunities, assess and resolve using qualitative and quantitative measures under supervision
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for proposed designs
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems
• Input into the production of high quality written reports on a range of projects
• Prepare, present and self-check technical data, drawings and tenders under supervision
• Use industry-standard analysis and calculation software
• Communicate clearly with peers and clients
• Manage own project timelines, budgets and resources
