Job summary

Civic is seeking an Intermediate/Design Engineer to contribute to building services MEP projects across the UK, including residential, education, and commercial sectors.

You will deliver design input, analyses and drawings, work with architects and engineers, and help ensure compliance with IEEE/NEC/IEC and CDM regulations. The role offers hybrid working with studio presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical engineer with Building Services MEP knowledge.
• Collaborative, proactive and well-organised with attention to detail.
• Experience delivering coordinated designs and models with engineers and wider design teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering discipline design, analysis, calculation and drawing input.
• Conduct design and analysis including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communication systems.
• Identify problems and opportunities and resolve them with supervision using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Perform feasibility studies, cost estimates and risk assessments for proposed designs.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and contractors to integrate mechanical systems.
