Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in the Crawley area is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing independent building services consultancy. You will develop electrical designs for residential, education, and commercial projects, perform calculations, and prepare technical documentation.

You will work in a collaborative, hybrid environment, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with mechanical and public health teams while managing multiple projects to meet deadlines and

Qualifications

• 3+ years' consultancy experience in electrical building services.
• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of BS7671 and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs and calculations across projects (residential, education, heritage, healthcare, commercial, community).
• Produce layouts, schematics and technical documentation.
• Attend client & project meetings and conduct site visits to ensure design compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
