Job summary

Lusona Consultancy in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical building services for a range of projects, including MOD work. The role may require security clearance at SC level.

You will design lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire alarms and more, while supporting senior engineers through the full project lifecycle and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services engineering.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience in building services.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux and Amtech/Trimble.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems across multiple projects (lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire alarms, small power).
• Assist senior engineers from concept to detailed design stages.
• Conduct site surveys and attend client meetings.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and schedules.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders; mentor junior engineers.
