Job summary

CIBSE Journal is seeking Electrical Design Engineers at Intermediate, Senior and Principal levels in Central London to join a well-established building services consultancy. You will develop electrical designs from concept to detailed design, produce calculations, drawings and specifications, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams; Senior/Principal will lead packages and client relationships.

Hybrid working is available after probation, with salary ranges up to £50k/£60k/£75k depending on

Qualifications

• Building services electrical design experience
• Experience moving concepts to detailed designs
• Knowledge of electrical design calculations and systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Awareness of Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance
• Sustainability and low-carbon design understanding

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through to detailed design
• Produce electrical calculations, drawings, specifications and schedules
• Design power, lighting, containment and life-safety systems
• Size equipment and perform load calculations
• Coordinate with MEP and architecture teams
• Engage with clients, contractors and suppliers
• Mentor junior engineers where appropriate
• Lead design packages and project coordination at senior levels
