Your new company

You will be working for a well-established Building Services consultancy, which operates across sectors including high-end residential, education, commercial, and heritage. They provide services such as Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainable Design, and BIM. This is an exciting time to join, as they are expanding into larger and new offices.

Your new role

The main purpose of the role is to design electrical engineering for building services.

In this role, you will:

1. Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
2. Survey and report on electrical systems in buildings
3. Prepare technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software
4. Design electrical installations to meet British Standards
5. Develop design proposals at various stages
6. Prepare tender documentation and reports
7. Demonstrate passion for electrical design engineering and a willingness to learn
8. Support senior staff in managing client and team relationships

You will need to undertake other duties as required to achieve objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

You need electrical design experience and:

• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or related field
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux
• Experience contributing to design team meetings
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel
