Job summary

Set2Recruit is seeking an experienced Contract Electrical Design Engineer near Taunton/Weston-super-Mare to join a busy engineering team on a 3‑month initial contract. Hybrid working pattern applies, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. Rate £40-50 per hour, inside IR35.

You will design electrical schematics, modify designs, prepare technical docs, test, fault-find and drive compliance from concept to manufacture across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical design and schematic experience.
• Experience with product development and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of electrical compliance and technical files.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare technical documentation and test plans; conduct fault-finding.
• Drive product compliance from concept through to manufacture across multiple projects.
