Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for its Test Facility Design team. You will define electrical and plant control system specs, lead solution delivery and support integration of test articles into facilities in a defence context.

The role requires a mix of HNC/HND and degree in electrical engineering, knowledge of PLC software, and experience with AutoCAD wiring design, including hazardous areas. A security clearance is required for applicants.

Qualifications

  • Candidate has mixed HNC/HND and degree in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines test facilities, PLC software desirable.
  • Experience wiring design and schematics using AutoCAD, including hazardous areas.
  • Knowledge of BS 7671 wiring regulations.
  • Understanding plant control system design and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish electrical and plant control system specs for test facilities.
  • Lead technical solutions to deliver required electrical capability in test facilities.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot existing electrical/control systems on facilities.
  • Design electrical wiring and schematics using AutoCAD.
