Job summary

Ignite Talent Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (E&I) to deliver and check design packages supporting safety, function, and business needs. The role requires an HNC and Incorporated Engineer qualification, with eligibility for security clearance.

You will work on multidiscipline projects from concept through handover, with emphasis on electrical supply, lighting, and earthing, and will support construction and commissioning while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Academic Qualification: HNC.
• Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineer.
• Eligible for Security Clearance.
• Minimum 3 years successfully delivering as an Electrical Design Engineer on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover.
• Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as an E&I Design Engineer on multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the relevant Engineering Standards governing Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design packages for Electrical & Instrumentation design teams.
• Provide support to Construction and Commissioning phases.

Job description

Supporting Project E&I design teams delivering, supporting and checking design packages to meet safety, functional and business needs.

Academic Qualification: HNC

Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineer

Eligible for Security Clearance

Hours: 37 hours over 4½ days a week

Location: Working 3 days a week minimum in Warrington, Cheshire.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years successfully delivering as an Electrical Design Engineer on external multidiscipline

projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working knowledge of the appropriate

Engineering Standards governing the following works:

• Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines
• Providing support to Construction
• Providing support to Commissioning
• Willingness to support early career engineers

Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as an E&I Design Engineer on multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the appropriate Engineering Standards governing the following works:

• Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing
