Electrical Design Engineer

Orion is working with one of the UK's leading specialists in the design and manufacture of bespoke Test and assembly systems across various industries. With over 25 years of experience, particularly in aerospace, they are known for their expertise.

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Main Responsibilities for the Electrical Design Engineer

• Provide technical information and respond to technical questions from internal and external sources.
• Design and develop new products, ensuring suitable production information for manufacturing and maintenance, and complete projects within specified timeframes and budgets.
• Estimate, design, modify, and build products in accordance with the company's Special Projects Procedure, maintaining specifications and cost estimates.
• Assist in generating technical manuals by providing necessary technical information.

Requirements for the Electrical Design Engineer

• HNC or higher in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and installation cable drawings.
• Knowledge of control systems, sensors, or instrumentation.
• Understanding of LV control panel layout and design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical disciplines.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
