Dalkia is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering electrical designs for innovative energy solutions on operational sites. You will be managing projects from conception through to implementation, working closely with a talented team to drive energy efficiency and sustainability.

The Electrical Design Engineer will have proven experience working on LV and/or HV distribution systems, including energy centres, transformers, CHP, solar PV, standby generation, heat pumps, and connection to DNO electricity systems. Projects are generally on live operational sites with critical systems requiring resilience. The candidate should have experience in project ownership from analysis to design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
The role involves producing designs and managing external design teams to deliver detailed, buildable designs that mitigate construction and operational risks, especially for energy-saving measures on live sites. The engineer will also coordinate with mechanical and controls engineers and adapt designs to project changes, considering impacts on other disciplines, project delivery, and costs.
