Job Title: Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Manchester

About the Company

The Manchester office was established to provide a local presence on projects, leveraging an abundance of expertise and knowledge within complex engineering sectors such as life science and healthcare as well as listed historical buildings and large scale commercial projects.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff, delivering a consistent high-quality service for clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed and profitability is achieved.

Your Role:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across various building sectors.
• Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
• Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative, and timely approach to delivery. This is a client-facing role, so you will attend project meetings and disseminate/translate the brief within the project team.
• Work with the team leader to help monitor expenditure, resources, and work delivered.
• Mentor and support the next of professionals, including apprentices and graduates.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record of delivering on a variety of complex projects.
• Experience with modern technical delivery processes and relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux.
• Demonstrable experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a design-oriented/consultant role.
• Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
• Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
