Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for industrial and manufacturing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems on-site as needed.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and project progress.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Supporting group projects with the potential for some travel to different sites.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Design Engineer should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in electrical design within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
- A strong understanding of electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical and efficient solutions.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
