CIBSE Journal is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for the Stanmore office (office based). You will work on technically challenging electrical design projects across data centres, distribution centres, healthcare, and other environments, delivering designs from initial concept through to completion.

You will join an established M&E consultancy with over 70 years of experience, receive training and support to develop your skills, and have clear progression opportunities toward a Senior

• Experience within Electrical Design Engineering.
• Commercial or industrial electrical project experience.

• UK experience within the electrical design process.

Responsibilities

• Producing electrical designs, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out cable sizing and electrical system calculations.
• Designing and routing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Producing drawings and documentation for specification and tender purposes.
• Using software such as IES, Dialux and CAD.
• Attending sites for surveys and testing where required.
• Responding to RFIs and liaising with clients and project teams.
• Taking projects through from initial design through to completion.
• Working alongside experienced engineers and receiving continued technical training.

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking to join an established consultancy where you can work on technically interesting projects and develop your career within a highly experienced team? Do you want to work on projects across Data Centres, Distribution Centres, Healthcare and other environments, while receiving continued training and support to develop your technical skills? This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a long–established M&E design consultancy, where you will work on projects from initial design through to completion, with genuine progression opportunities through to Senior Engineer. This established M&E consultancy has been operating for over 70 years and has built a strong reputation for delivering high–quality building services design across a range of technically demanding sectors. The business benefits from a high level of repeat work and works with several long–standing clients across commercial, industrial and secure environments. In this role, you will be responsible for producing electrical designs, calculations, drawings and specifications, while working closely with clients and project teams. You will also have the opportunity to attend sites for surveys and testing, respond to RFIs, and see projects through from initial design to completion. With that, the ideal candidate will have some commercial or industrial electrical design experience, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to produce electrical calculations and specifications.
