Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing electrical engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. You will design and develop electrical control systems from concept through to manufacture and testing, using EPLAN and EPLAN Pro Panel.

The role offers exposure to varied industrial projects, BOM creation, production drawings and documentation. Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and experience with control systems or panel design are essential, with

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical control system or panel design.
• Experience using EPLAN, Zuken or similar.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Electrical schematics and control system design using EPLAN
• 2D and 3D panel design using EPLAN Pro Panel
• Producing BOMs, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Developing standardised designs, macros and engineering methods
• Supporting projects through manufacture, testing and commissioning
• Working closely with manufacturing to deliver accurate, production-ready designs

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing electrical engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with experience in electrical control system or panel design who wants to develop their expertise in EPLAN and work on technically challenging industrial projects.

The Role

You will be involved in the design and development of electrical control systems from concept through to manufacture and testing.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Electrical schematics and control system design using EPLAN
• 2D and 3D panel design using EPLAN Pro Panel
• Producing BOMs, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Developing standardised designs, macros and engineering methods
• Supporting projects through manufacture, testing and commissioning
• Working closely with manufacturing to deliver accurate, production-ready designs

What We're Looking For

• Degree, HND or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in electrical control system or panel design
• Experience using EPLAN, Zuken or similar
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems

Experience with PLC systems, industrial machinery, engine controls, J1939 or EPLAN Pro Panel would be advantageous.
