Job summary

A specialist engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on instrumentation and controls for complex nuclear sector projects. Located in Chester, the role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, AMTECH, and other design tools. The position offers a 3 days on-site commitment and provides IT equipment with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Proven background in the nuclear industry.
• Ability to work 3 days per week on-site.
• Security clearance BPSS/SC required (DV if requested).

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineer - Instrumentation & Controls Bias

Location: Risley, Cheshire (3 days per week on-site)

Contract Type: Secondment | Start Date: Mid-September | Duration: TBC
Rate: Competitive (DOE)

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in instrumentation and controls to join a specialist engineering team. You'll be involved in the design of building services, control systems, HVAC systems, and more, working on complex projects within the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
• Proven background in the nuclear industry
• Control systems
• HVAC systems
• Proficiency with: AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, PDMS / Aveva 3D
• Ability to work 3 days per week in Hinton House (Risley)
• Security clearance: BPSS/SC required (DV if requested)
