Job summary

GES Group seeks a Design and Applications Engineer in Northern Ireland, based in Ballymena, to design and support electrical solutions for customers. The role is full time (38 hours per week) with potential overtime and 29 days holiday per year.

You will work with existing and new customers, apply CAD tools, program PLCs and HMIs, and collaborate with a team to deliver robust electrical/bespoke control systems across sectors.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma or Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: minimum of 4 years in industry.
• Strong PLC programming experience with various software packages.
• CAD package experience for design and applications work.
• Capable of fault finding on PLCs and HMIs.

Essential Criteria

• Must be qualified to Diploma/Degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or similar)
• Programming HMIs and PLCs
• Capable of using CAD software package
• Fault Finding on PLC units and HMIs

Desired Criteria

We are looking for an experienced Design and Applications Engineer. The Engineer will be working with existing and potential customers, through-out Northern Ireland.

Experience & Skills

• Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Industry.
• Must have experience using a leading CAD package (or similar), and experience of PLC programming with various software packages.
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team, operate under minimal supervision and prioritise tasks effectively for best productivity.
• Must be self-motivated individual who has strong problem-solving skills.
