Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a Band 5 Electrician to join our Estates and Facilities team. You will maintain essential electrical services across our healthcare sites, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant environments for patients, visitors and colleagues.

This is a diverse, technically challenging NHS role requiring fault finding, installation, testing and multi-system support across building services, with a flexible approach and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited electrical apprenticeship training course to a minimum level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent.
• High level of knowledge and understanding of electrical/mechanical services/systems and a working knowledge of other associated trades.
• Familiarity with approved guidance documents.
• Ability to cover shift at short notice or cover periods of sickness & annual leave.
• Desirable criteria: IEE wiring regulations; CSCS or ECS; Knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda; General awareness of other engineering maintenance related statutory legislation.

As a Band 5 Electrician

As a Band 5 Electrician, you will provide specialist electrical maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation services across Health Board premises.

Your Work Will Include
