This role suits engineers from end-user environments, including drives/ PLC bias, who can contribute across site surveys, drawings review, panel specification, and FAT testing. The position is office-based with occasional customer-site visits and requires a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience specifying, configuring and/or commissioning variable speed drives.
• Familiar with motor starters DOL, Star/Delta or Soft Start.
• Working knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
• Working knowledge of BS EN 60204-1 Machinery Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Survey customer sites to determine electrical and control solutions (typically day trips in the North West and Midlands).
• Review drawings and specify panels, cable routes, power and networking for panel builders.
• Work across PLC, HMI and Variable Speed Drives platforms.
• Conduct FATs.
• Prepare cost proposals including hardware specifications and pricing.
• Mainly office based.
