Job description

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Overview

• Utilize estimation Trimble software to produce detailed estimates
• Work with mechanical estimating to deliver high-quality M&E estimates
• Discuss and agree on all estimate costs (labour, sub-contractors, materials, specialist suppliers, plant, prelims) with the Managing Director during the tender process and final review before submission
• Complete and submit tender packages to clients
• Negotiate contracts and projects with existing and new clients
• Estimate and oversee projects from inception to final account
• Carry out value engineering to maximise profit prior to project commencement
• Set up projects, prepare sub-contract and material costs for the Purchase Department
• Organise program and cash flow to meet project deadlines
• Work with MD to determine costs, profit, and cash flow for all estimates
• Attend pre-tender interviews and contract meetings
• Pre-empt design problems and prepare technical submissions for all project aspects, obtaining sign-off prior to work commencement

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator
• Strong Contract Management skills
• Technical electrical background
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering and client requirements
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software
• Experience with Trimble estimating software preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence & residence within a commutable distance of Sidcup
