Electrical Contracts Manager

Electrical Contracts Manager with estimation experience is required. Our client is a leading independent building services contractor based in South London who provide high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering solutions to a range of commercial clients. They are looking to recruit an electrically biased Estimator to join their Contracts team.

The Estimator will be responsible for maximising profitability for the electrical department at tender stage through primarily estimating projects, as well as fully manage a range of electrical contracts.

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Overview

1. Utilize estimation Trimble software to produce detailed estimates
2. Work with mechanical estimating to continue to deliver high quality M&E estimates
3. All estimate costs i.e., labour, sub- contractors, materials, specialist suppliers, plant and prelims to be fully discussed and agreed with Managing Director during the tender process and at final review before submission of tender
4. Complete and submit tender package to client
5. To negotiate contracts and projects with existing and new clients
6. Estimate and commercially oversee projects from inception to final account
7. Carry out value engineering to maximise profit prior to commencement of project
8. To set up projects, prepare sub-contract and material costs for Purchase Department
9. Organisation of program and cash flow to ensure program is met
10. To commercially work with MD to determine all costs, profit and cash flow for all estimates
11. Attend pre-tender interviews and associated contract meetings
12. Pre-empt design problems and prepare technical submissions for all aspects of project and obtain sign-off prior to commencement of work

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Requirements

1. Proven experience within a similar Electrical Estimator position
2. Strong Contract Management experience
3. Technical electrical background
4. Knowledge of mechanical engineering and client requirements
5. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software
6. Trimble estimating software experience desired
7. Full UK Driving Licence & Based within commutable distance of Sidcup

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Remuneration

1. £45,000-50,000 per annum - depending on experience
