Job summary

Warwickshire College seeks a Trainer Assessor – Electrical Construction to work on-site at Royal Leamington Spa College. You will support learners, coordinate work placements, and assess competencies in workplace settings, ensuring safe and compliant training aligned with industry needs.

You will engage with employers, manage promotional activities, and mentor learners while maintaining CPD and safeguarding standards. The role requires DBS checks and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent apprenticeship route within this discipline.
• Assessor’s Award (preferably A1) or equivalent. Willingness to achieve within 12 months considered.
• GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support students from enquiry to course selection.
• Co-ordinate work placements and visits with Course Managers and Training agencies.
• Liaise with managing agents to ensure safe, suitable work-based training.
• Promote recruitment for automotive courses at careers events and schools.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Work Based Learning teams to promote courses.
• Represent the Work Based Learning Team in promotional activities.
• Set up and promote bespoke training to meet industry needs.
• Mentor candidates and monitor academic and vocational progress.
• Carry out formal NVQ assessments.
