Job summary

Warwick College Group is seeking an Instructor Technician in Electrical Installations to deliver practical instruction to students, supervise workshops and ensure high standards of safety and learning.

You will prepare materials, assess competence, and maintain workshop resources while supporting teaching staff and contributing to curriculum delivery. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• A level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (e.g., City & Guilds Advanced Craft or NVQ Level 3).
• Current industry experience in electrical installations.
• Evidence of formal structured training in a relevant vocation.
• Assessor award A1, or willing to complete within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop the skills of students within the subject area and provide a high standard of technical support.
• Assess student competence of the practical skill(s) and give feedback.
• Instruct and supervise practical sessions using the prepared Scheme of Work.
• Prepare materials and maintain resources for practical tasks.
• Carry out maintenance on tools and workshop equipment; order equipment.
• Maintain unit and equipment to current Health & Safety standards.
• Attend meetings and events as required; ensure health & safety guidelines.
