Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Compliance Engineer to perform Fixed Wire Testing (EICR) and related remedial works at retail, commercial, and office sites in Perthshire. You will ensure compliance with BS7671 and deliver safe, reliable electrical systems.

The role requires completing NICEIC certification, maintaining records, and liaising with clients. Hours are Monday–Friday 12:00–21:00 with overtime after 17:30; benefits include life insurance and private health

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installation or maintenance within commercial, retail, or office environments.
• Experience delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical inspection and testing, including Fixed Wire Testing and associated remedial works to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with BS7671: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Deliver work that meets or exceeds customer expectations for quality and professionalism.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and company procedures.
• Provide a professional service while representing the organisation positively to clients.
• Take a proactive approach to customer liaison and ensure any concerns are addressed promptly or escalated to management.
• Maintain accurate personal, job, and vehicle records in line with company operating procedures.
• Ensure full awareness of contractual obligations and customer requirements at all times.
• Comply with company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
• Ensure all administrative requirements, documentation, records, and certification are completed accurately and submitted within required timescales.

Job description

Electrical Compliance Engineer - Fixed Wire Testing & Remedial Works - Perthshire - Up to £39,000 DOE Plus allowances

CBW are looking for an experienced Compliance Engineer to carry out electrical inspection and testing (EICR) and associated remedial works within retail, commercial, and office environments, including the completion of NICEIC certification.

The role requires the ability to complete work to a high standard, maintain full compliance with BS7671:18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and work independently using initiative to deliver safe, compliant electrical systems.

Hours of work

Monday - Friday 12.00 - 21.00 (Over time rate paid after 17.30)

• City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Electrical Installation with NVQ 2356 and AM2
• City & Guilds 236 / 2360 Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2

Additional required qualifications

• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018) preferably including Amendment 2.
• Preferred qualifications:
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship
• JIB Accreditation
• IPAF / PASMA
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Technical skills:
• Competent in completing electrical certification in accordance with BS7671:2018.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installation or maintenance within commercial, retail, or office environments.
• Experience in electrical building services maintenance including:
• Fault finding
• Installation
• Maintenance
• Electrical inspection and testing
• Production of EICR reports
• Experience delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services.
• Experience working within facilities management or building services environments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary up to £39,000
• Overtime paid after 5.30pm at time & a half
