Job summary

Guardian Electrical Compliance Ltd in Scotland is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring full compliance with BS 7671 and safety regulations.

You will report findings, identify hazards, and provide actionable recommendations, supported by ongoing training and access to cutting-edge testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' electrical inspection experience.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) certification required.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification and 18th Edition qualification.
• Knowledge of BS7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial sites.
• Identify defects, safety hazards and non-compliance issues.
• Provide clear reports with actionable corrective actions.
• Stay up to date with BS 7671 and industry best practices.
• Communicate findings with clients and offer technical advice.
• Ensure safety protocols and company standards are followed.

The Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team at Guardian Electrical Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all electrical systems are fully compliant with industry standards and safety regulations. You will use your expertise to identify potential hazards, document non‑compliance issues, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.

Qualifications Required:

• City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
• NVQ Level 3 Qualification
• IET BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• In‑depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
• Valid UK driving licence.

• Position Type: Permanent, Full Time (Available Immediately)
• Salary Range: £48,367.80 - £50,661 base salary (With travel pay included, total annual earnings range from £55k to £77k)
• Location: Scotland
• Annual Leave: 22 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
