Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the United Utilities team in the North West. You will deliver commissioning from construction completion through to Take-Over, with a 45-hour week and some flexible hours.

You will test power and control systems and ensure all activities meet safety standards. Key tasks include electrical inspections, start-up of pumps and equipment, and producing detailed reports to support Take-Over.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification required.
• ECS (JIB) Gold Card is essential.
• Experience commissioning water projects.
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge and fault finding skills.
• Experience carrying out LV duties as Authorised Person.

Responsibilities

• Support United Utilities in successful and timely Take-Over of projects.
• Electrical inspection of cable terminations and as-built drawings.
• Testing and commissioning of electrical power and control systems.
• Start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers and process equipment.
• Produce commissioning test sheets and detailed reports, ensuring safety compliance.
