Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Technician to join a growing team delivering Security / Access Control projects for UK utilities. You will translate concept designs into detailed manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD (Electrical) and, where relevant, REVIT, with a focus on electrical cabinets and layouts.

Working Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, you will collaborate with site teams, support shop floor technicians and drive improvements in drawing

Qualifications

• Experience creating/modifying electrical schematics in Autodesk AutoCAD (min 2 years).
• Experience creating/modifying electrical cabinet internal layouts (min 2 years).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential).
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively using Microsoft Teams (essential).
• Experience using Autodesk REVIT to produce electrical equipment room layouts (preferable).
• Knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical Schematic Software (preferable).
• Experience with a key infrastructure client (preferable).
• HNC/HND/BTec in Engineering (Electrical) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce, develop and amend drawings in accordance with standards and deadlines.
• Design layouts, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, BOMs and cut lists.
• Provide technical support to shop floor and on-site technicians.
• Revise drawings and red-line markups appropriately.
• Liaise with stakeholders across various teams and projects.
• Be proactive in streamlining and automating drawing/engineering processes.
