About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical CAD Designer to join a leading engineering team supporting a high-profile platform management project. This role involves delivering electrical designs and drawings as part of a mission-critical initiative, supporting innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Provide technical support to the Electrical Design Engineering team.
• Develop component libraries for schematic support.
• Review electrical schematics to ensure compliance with standards and CAD processes.
• Maintain and update documents and drawings during development and production changes.
• Support other engineering functions, especially mechanical drawing.
• Manage configuration control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Raise and action Change Notes (CN).

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Electrical CAD, proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
• Understanding of industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience handling complex projects under pressure.
• Ability to gain and maintain UK Government security clearance (SC).
• Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements.
