We are looking for an Electrical CAD Designer. What You Can Expect

• Location – London
• Salary – Up to £46,000
• Work type – Permanent (Hybrid, 10% of time in office)

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing Hardware Engineering team. As an Electrical CAD Designer, you will create and review electrical designs and drawings to support a major Defence maritime platform management project.

Main Responsibilities as an Electrical CAD Designer

• Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Provide electrical engineering support to the Electrical Design Engineering team
• Develop component libraries to support schematics
• Review electrical schematics in accordance with relevant standards and internal CAD processes
• Maintain documents and drawings through development and production changes
• Collaborate with other engineering functions from a mechanical drawing perspective
• Raise and action Change Notes (CN)
• Adhere to configuration management processes for baseline control throughout the project lifecycle

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Strong experience in an Electrical CAD position
• Understanding and working knowledge of electrical-related Defence Standards, including Lloyds Register and Military Standards (e.g., Def Stan 59-411)
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain the required UK Government security clearance (SC) for this role.
