Job summary

Arup is seeking Electrical or Building Services Engineering students for a 6-week Summer Internship in Edinburgh. You will support the Buildings team, help deliver designs, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to gain hands-on experience in building design.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of projects, the chance to learn how design engineers operate, and to work with professionals across architecture, structural engineering and project management.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an MEng or BEng in Electrical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• On track to achieve a 2.1 or above (or equivalent), as proven through the modules completed to date.
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in building design.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to team members to deliver an effective and professional service to clients on strategically won projects.
• Assist in preparing designs in coordination with the team using relevant software.
• Work as part of project teams alongside Architects, Building Services and Structural Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.
