Aldwych Consulting is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its Leicester team. You will design and deliver electrical building services for a varied portfolio, working in a hybrid pattern with four days in the office and one day from home.

You will build on 3–5 years of experience, develop project responsibility, and progress within a growing consultancy. You will collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders on education, residential, and public-sector schemes.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical building services design.
• Experience producing electrical designs and calculations.
• Good knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Competent with relevant design software.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical building services solutions across a range of projects.
• Produce electrical design calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Work on lighting, power, small power, fire alarm and other electrical systems.
• Support projects from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Attend design meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Take increasing ownership of your own projects and responsibilities.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations and best practice.
