Job summary

Robertson Stewart Ltd, a leading building services contractor, seeks an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their stable company. Based at Manchester Airport (MAN), you will also be mobile to other locations as needed.

You will perform planned and preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and upgrades, and routine PPM tasks per SFG20, documenting checks and reports. Strong fault-finding and clear customer-facing communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to operate at height and travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance per SFG20.
• Respond to reactive electrical repairs and upgrades at MAN and other sites.
• Document check sheets and reports after each task.
• Maintain electrical services including power, H&V, PA, fire alarm, and emergency lighting where required.

Job description

A leading Building Services organisation have a newly created role for an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their stable and progressive business.

In the main, you will conduct planned and preventative maintenance of electrical services as well as reactive repairs and upgrades primarily based at Manchester Airport (MAN) but you will also be mobile and conduct the same services at other locations as and when.

You will be required to complete daily, weekly, monthly and 6 monthly PPM tasks adhering to SFG20 requirements, completing and documenting check sheets and reports for each PPM task, including daily and weekly system checks.

Candidates sought will ideally have technical knowledge of critical environments power, H&V systems, public address systems, fire alarm works and emergency lighting etc.

We seek thse who are happy to work and operate on occasion from heights.

Qualified Engineers might have City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS(Apply online only)/2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualifications, these are desirable, but not essential and proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a mobile or static building services electrical role with a desire to become mobile is highly sought.

Candidates applying must have strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of commercial electrical systems, be a clear communicator and have good customer service / facing skills.
