Job summary

Tech-People is recruiting an Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer for a mobile role serving sites around Basingstoke and Southampton. This position combines electrical expertise with general M&E maintenance, offering stability and clear career development.

You will service and maintain BMS front-end systems, perform PPM on electrical and mechanical plant, diagnose faults, and provide strong client-facing on-site support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2391 Test & Inspect certification.
• Proven experience in PPM, fault finding, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain BMS front-end systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and mechanical plant.
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Undertake general M&E maintenance tasks, including: emergency lighting tests, water temperature monitoring, AHU and FCU maintenance, minor plumbing repairs, reactive maintenance.
• Provide excellent client-facing service, maintaining strong on-site relationships.
• Participate in on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks) - travel time paid door to door.

A leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor with a strong family culture is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer to join their mobile team. Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain BMS front-end systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and mechanical plant
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems
• Undertake general M&E maintenance tasks, including:

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• 2391 Test & Inspect certification
• Proven experience in PPM, fault finding, and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy (experience with Simpro or Verisae would be a benefit)
• Based within a commutable distance of Basingstoke
