Job summary

Tech-People is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer to join a mobile team covering Southampton and surrounding areas. The role combines electrical expertise with M&E maintenance on a varied portfolio in a family-oriented contractor environment.

You'll perform BMS front-end service, PPM on electrical and mechanical plant, diagnose faults, and participate in an on-call rota. NVQ3, 18th Edition, and 2391 are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have PPM experience on electrical & mechanical systems.
• Strong fault finding and repair capabilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing work.
• Proficient computer literacy, with Simpro/Verisae advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain BMS front-end systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and mechanical plant.
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Undertake general M&E maintenance tasks including emergency lighting tests, water temp monitoring, AHU/FCU maintenance, minor plumbing repairs.
• Provide excellent client-facing service and maintain on-site relationships.
• Participate in on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks).

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain BMS front-end systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and mechanical plant
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems

Requirements
