Job summary
Wolviston Management Services are seeking an Electrical Automation Engineer to join the team at a heavy industrial site in Redcar. You will own CAPEX and major maintenance projects while driving continuous improvement across day-to-day plant activities.
You will monitor plant performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective engineering solutions in close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth introductions of new equipment and process
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
- Experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Knowledge of HV/LV systems and installations.
- Hands-on Siemens S5/S7 PLC programming and industrial communications.
- Strong fault-finding incl. closed-loop control and PID systems.
- Experience with AC/DC drives, ideally Siemens.
Responsibilities
- Own CAPEX and major maintenance projects and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor plant performance and analyse root causes of failures.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to introduce new equipment and processes.
- Prepare clear technical specifications for services and equipment.
- Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and manage contractor delivery.
