World-renowned architectural design and engineering firm in London seeks an Electrical Associate Director to lead electrical design across diverse projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to shape delivering innovative, sustainable solutions.

Role involves mentoring staff, guiding design strategies, and coordinating with clients and consultants to ensure regulatory compliance and project success. London-based, senior leadership expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent registration is required.
• Extensive experience in electrical engineering design within the building services sector, preferably large-scale/complex projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering design process for a diverse range of projects including commercial, leisure, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, education, cultural, retail, urban design, and transport sectors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into architectural designs.
• Develop and review technical specifications, calculations, and drawings to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide technical expertise across all project stages from concept to construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Mentor and monitor the performance of team members to foster professional growth.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives across the business.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
